A Ground Fit for Premiers: A Club 11 initiative

Club 11 was born out of a concept to bring together a small and intimate group of key supporters of the club that would help support the Clubs future training and administration facility agenda.

Of key priority was the Club’s main training oval, Gosch’s Paddock, which had an undersized field size comparative to that of the Club’s match day home, the MCG. This inhibited both the Club’s AFL & AFLW programs from training on an oval that was to a standard befitting an elite sporting organisation.

During the 2022 AFL season Club 11 was established, resulting in over $500,000 of funding that was invested directly into the resizing and resurfacing of Gosch’s Paddock to MCG size. With works completed in late 2022, the Club has benefited significantly from its high performance teams having a premium training oval to utilise across all football programs.
